Discovering the Artistry of North Vancouver Spotlight on makers

In the heart of North Vancouver lies a treasure trove of local artistry, a testament to the talent and passion of our community’s artisans.

It’s a place I’ve come to adore, and I’m thrilled to share it with you in this edition of our “Love Local” spotlight series: introducing “makers.”

Why Shopping Local Matters

But first, let me share a bit about why championing local businesses is so close to my heart.

When you shop local, it’s not just a transaction – it’s an investment in our community.

Local establishments like “makers” fuel our local economy and support our community members.

This, in turn, benefits public services we often take for granted, from schools and parks to vital infrastructure.

By choosing to shop local, we indirectly bolster these amenities that enhance the quality of life in North Vancouver.

My Personal Affection for “makers”

Having visited “makers” multiple times, I’ve come to appreciate the distinctiveness of their offerings.

Whether it’s the delightful chocolates, exquisite cards or the memorable prints, there’s always something new and fascinating to discover.

The artisanal quality is palpable in each product. If, like me, you’ve enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the farmers markets and admired the artisans there, you’ll be pleased to find many familiar names at “makers.”

However, my most fond memories of “makers” aren’t just about the products.

It’s the people, especially Yuki, a local artisan and the store’s manager.

Her warmth, knowledge and genuine kindness add to the store’s charm, making every visit a delightful experience.
