Hear at Home Helps with Social Assistance and Disability Coverage

Hearing instruments and associated repairs and supplies are available under the Employment and Assistance Regulation and Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation.

People with disabilities may have access to assistive technologies through WorkBC to help find a job, or continue working at their current job, like:

Assistive devices, equipment, and technology
Communication and hearing devices
Ergonomic supports and other personal devices
Interpreting and captioning services
Workplace access and modification.

Hearing care and hearing aids represent a significant investment for which many individuals, especially those on a fixed income, need help. Fortunately, Hear at Home is a registered provider for Social Assistance and Disability benefits and we’re able to help locate financial assistance for hearing instruments and some services, such as repairs and battery replacements, either through the regional health authority or through private service providers.

					Jennifer and the team were fantastic. I was greeted with such a kind energy, they offered me a bubly, and they offered kind and compassionate care for my ear wax extraction. I said casually ‘oh I wish I could see it’ and quickly Jennifer set up a camera so I could see inside my ear. Can’t recommend enough for kindness, professionalism, and able to hear perfectly again 🙂

					I was looking for a certified ear wax removal as I thought that was the cause of my hearing issues and I found Hear At Home. Jennifer did a ear exam and removed wax build up from ears. I can hear clearly again! She also did a hearing test and took the time to talk through my results. Jennifer and the team were helpful, and hospitable. Provided excellent service. I highly recommend them!

					I can't say enough about Jennifer and her team.  All very easy to speak with and the response is always timely - from setting up an initial consult, hearing test, moulds for ear piece/s and if necessary, taking another mould to ensure the best fit, followup with warranty issues.  In particular, all this can be done in-home which helps with meeting the needs of those who can't get to their location.

					Thank you Jennifer for successfully ear wax removal. I had been dreading getting it done. The staff at the clinic were so friendly and accommodating. I was seen right on my appointment time. The clinic is well run and extremely clean. I have booked a follow up hearing test at the clinic.

					I was very pleased to get my hearing test then the hearing aids so quickly. I had a single old hearing aid and I needed two. I am in my 90's and my hearing is poor. The two new hearing aids a re a great improvement. My experience with Jennifer and with her office staff was wonderful. Professional and competent describe it well. I recommend her services to anyone with poor hearing.

					I just wanted to say that we (my sister Deb and I ) really enjoyed your and Karen's presentation and the information was very helpful. We are trying to support our Dad, who is 90 and looking after our Mom, who is 89 and struggling with dementia. We will follow through with the suggestions and share them with our Dad.

Hopefully, we'll see you both in person one day soon!
