We love supporting our neighbours and shopping at the fabulous local businesses in our community. We feel fortunate to work in North Vancouver, where so many new and exciting local businesses are right in our own backyard.

And since our work takes us around the community, we’re always exploring new places to eat, drink, and shop.

Emma and I love meeting the business owners who are bringing cool new spots to our city, and we love being able to share our favourite places with you!

Le Petit Café’s Story

Le Petit Café’s owners, Lana and Nancy, combined their years of experience in business and their passion for health and wellness to bring Le Petit Café to North Vancouver.

They aim to cultivate a cozy, French-inspired boutique environment where customers can enjoy homemade food, locally roasted coffee, and a sense of community.

Le Petit Café’s menu focuses on fresh, homemade food that nourishes your body and soul and makes you feel right at home.

Some of their specialties include homemade sandwiches, wraps, soups, and freshly baked muffins and scones. Le Petit Café collaborates with other wonderful local businesses like Moja Coffee, Soup Meister, Lift Bakery, and Bob’s Fruit Stand.

Lana and Nancy are members of the North Vancouver community and see Le Petit Café as more than just a place to grab a cup of coffee.

It’s a place for members of the North Vancouver community to nurture relationships and genuine human connections. Le Petit Café hosts community events throughout the year, like the Fall Fest Live Music & Market.

You’ll always leave Le Petit Café feeling uplifted and nourished – both physically and emotionally.

Why We Love Them

Emma and I have been customers of Le Petit Café since we opened Hear at Home in Delbrook Plaza.

I love the atmosphere that Lana and Nancy have created. The interior of the shop feels just like a dollhouse, and the staff is always kind and uplifting. As soon as you step inside, you’ll feel the love and warmth envelop you like a hug.

It’s the perfect place to grab a cup of coffee and a pastry on the go, get some work done on your laptop, or enjoy lunch with friends.

The coffee is locally roasted, organic, and delicious. I often find myself popping over to Le Petit Café for my caffeine fix between shifts. Their iced oat vanilla latte is the perfect pick-me-up!

We also love that Le Petit Café can accommodate many dietary restrictions and preferences. Their menu offers delicious vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free sandwiches, wraps, sweets, and more – there’s something for everyone.

A Recommendation for First-Time Visitors

If you’ve never been to Le Petit Café, I recommend stopping by for lunch with a friend. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy your lunch on the flower-filled outdoor patio.

You really can’t go wrong with any items on the menu, but my two favourite food items are the chicken pesto and grilled cheese sandwiches.

Order both to share, and make sure you try something sweet for dessert! And, of course, the iced oat vanilla latte is a must-try. It’s the best around.

After your lunch and coffee, take some time to explore the other hidden gems and local shops in the Delbrook Plaza.

My dad got his hearing aids from Jennifer over 10 years ago and my mom has had hers for the last couple of years. 							Thanks to Hear at Home Mobile Hearing Clinic and Jennifer Abbott my 94-year-old mother is hearing better than she has in years and is enjoying it. Despite the fact that I live in Victoria and my mother lives in Vancouver, Jennifer made it easy for me make all the arrangements from a distance.  Jennifer: •	deals well with the elderly and cares about her clients •	takes charge and manages all the details •	is very thorough: she gave me regular updates by telephone and email on how she was progressing. She emailed me photographs of the devices we had purchased so I could inspect the product. •	made a video clip – and posted it on YouTube – that illustrated how the hearing aids were functioning with my mother and giving very clear instructions on how to use the external microphone accessory we ordered, and demonstrating its effectiveness. This has been invaluable. I sent the YouTube link to family and friends and now they all know how to use the microphone when they visit.  Jennifer is filling an important niche for people who are homebound or have limited mobility. 							Jennifer is amazing. She came to our home to test my great Aunt & Uncle’s hearing. They are both disabled and unable to leave the house. We ordered hearing aids for Auntie, and had a little difficulty from the supplier but Jennifer quickly solved the problem. She followed up to make sure everything went well. She went out of her way to provide hearing aids for Uncle. She was patient, understanding and very accommodating. I really appreciate everything she did for us. Thank you.
