In recent years I realized that I had sustained a hearing loss. A profoundly hearing impaired friend suggested I contact Jennifer Abbott at Hear at Home. Jennifer was a delight to deal with. She came to my home , tested me, and gave me a number of options. At no time did I feel she was trying to "sell" me something; rather she was giving me information and leaving decisions up to me. She was patient and and able to answer all my questions. I did purchase hearing aids from Hear at Home and they have worked as she described. Her follow up care was excellent and she was prompt and very careful to follow covid protocols. In sum my experience with Jennifer and Hear at Home exceeded my expectations and I would refer friends to her without hesitation.

Jennifer is amazing. She came to our home to test my great Aunt & Uncle’s hearing. They are both disabled and unable to leave the house. We ordered hearing aids for Auntie, and had a little difficulty from the supplier but Jennifer quickly solved the problem. She followed up to make sure everything went well. She went out of her way to provide hearing aids for Uncle. She was patient, understanding and very accommodating. I really appreciate everything she did for us. Thank you.

I was very pleased to get my hearing test then the hearing aids so quickly. I had a single old hearing aid and I needed two. I am in my 90's and my hearing is poor. The two new hearing aids a re a great improvement. My experience with Jennifer and with her office staff was wonderful. Professional and competent describe it well. I don’t usually write reviews for companies, but I just had to share my experience this time. Jennifer was attentive, efficient and professional. My grandmother lost her hearing aid at her nursing home. Jennifer understood the urgency and got it replaced as soon as possible, by rushing to the home as soon as she got the hearing aid mailed to her. Every step of the way, she took the time to communicate with my family as well as the nursing home staff. She would send me pictures and call me to keep me updated. She also made sure that we were completely satisfied with the product. Jennifer went above and beyond by helping my family manage a very stressful situation. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a hearing aid for themselves or a loved one.

From start to finish Hear at Home Mobile Hearing Clinic provided exceptional and timely service. Jennifer Abbott suggested hearing aids that were appropriate for my 101 year old mother. The attention to detail was outstanding as Jennifer included a clip and cord that attached the two hearing aids together which helps to prevent the aids from being lost if they fall out or the user takes them out. This is crucial in a care home. Proper instructions for inserting and removing were given and we wrote up instructions for the staff with photos. The Hear at Home support person, Emma was very pleasant and helpful. I would highly recommend this service for anyone with mobility issues.

I resisted doing something about my hearing loss for many years -partly denial on my part, but also because I felt the professional I consulted many years ago seemed more interested in selling hearing aids rather than addressing my needs. My experience with Jennifer couldn't have been better. She obviously cares about her clients -using gentle humour to put me at ease. She was patient, thorough and explained everything without overwhelming me with information. I felt totally confident that my needs and well-being was her primary focus. A whole new hearing world has opened up for me now-I never realized how much I was missing before getting my hearing aides. Position: Customer Care Representative

We are a leading hearing clinic, dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with hearing loss. We are currently seeking a dynamic and empathetic Customer Care Representative to join our team on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently
  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly
  • Provide accurate information about our hearing services and products
  • Assist clients in completing necessary forms and paperwork
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
  • Collaborate with Hearing Aid Practitioners and support staff to ensure a seamless client experience
  • Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and empathy, striving for effective resolutions
  • Follow up with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any additional needs

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Empathetic and patient-oriented approach when dealing with customers
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and appointment scheduling software
  • Prior experience in customer service or healthcare industry preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with audiology or hearing-related terminology is a plus

Job Title: Mobile Hearing Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated Mobile Hearing Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality hearing services to our clients, travelling to various locations throughout the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments and provide recommendations for appropriate treatment options.
  • Fit and program hearing aids and other assistive devices.
  • Provide follow-up care and adjustments as needed.
  • Educate clients and their families on hearing loss, communication strategies and assistive technology.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care and communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations and professional standards.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Hearing Aid Practitioner in good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of hearing disorders, hearing aids and other assistive devices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel to various locations throughout the community.
