I had an excellent experience at Hear at Home MB Hearing Clinic. I live overseas but was home for the holidays and Cindi was able to slot in an appointment time that worked! Holy took the appointment and thoroughly checked my ears including very detailed photos of the inside of both ears which she reviewed with me. I thought I needed wax removal before my appointment but after checking Holy said that was unnecessary but we discussed in detail the way my issue might be resolved. I was not charged for the wax removal and left the clinic with a new strategy to try. Excellent, non-rushed hearing advice!! 10 out of 10!!

I had a great experience here for an ear wax check. The doctor was extremely honest and professional. After examining my ears, she showed me clear pictures and explained that I actually didn’t need any ear wax removal. I really appreciated that she didn’t try to upsell anything or charge me for something unnecessary. She also gave me helpful tips on how to keep my ear drums healthy.

From the moment I stepped in the clinic, I was greeted with a smile and greeting! It was the same welcome I experienced when I called for an appointment. Emma is lovely, she made me feel at ease at once. It was my first ear wax removal treatment, which I thought I should do since I wear hearing aids. Holy (pronounced as Holly), was just as accommodating and explained the treatment procedure. She is knowledgeable and as pleasant. To summarize, it was all worth it!!! Situated in beautiful Dellbrook Plaza of NorthVancouver, this hearing clinic goes above and beyond to ensure everyone in the lower mainland has access to quality hearing health. I had the pleasure to experience my practicum here, shadowing Jennifer Abbott Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner and owner of this beautiful centre. Jennifer and her staff made me feel as an integral part of her team fostering a supportive and inclusive atmosphere with her selection of experts. The on-site practitioner is a high level professional, and the administration staff ooze well rounded customer service! I give thanks to everyone for sharing with me their invaluable knowledge and skills, as well as the supportive environment and expert guidance which they give to everyone whom they come in contact with. Plenty of doggie treats for those walking by with their furry friends, lots of coffee tea and goodies for anyone who stops in. I highly recommend a visit to see what services they have to support your hearing health, and I also recommend the lovely walk by the brook just behind the plaza. I attended Hear at Home’s office in North Vancouver yesterday and came home very happy! They gave me a thorough hearing exam and updated the App on my phone which wasn’t working. Super friendly and helpful!

Very friendly and experienced personnel. I brought my mother, 90 years old for wax cleaning two times. From the entrance door we are friendly greeted by receptionist Maia and right away we are offered either cappuccino, tea or water. Holy, hearing practitioner, was very careful working with my old mother, taking care about her ears, carefully cleaning with warm water. And what is the most important, after two sessions my mother’s ears are clear from wax, and she can hear again. Thank you

What a wonderful service they provide for the elderly who live in residential care. Hear at Home Mobile Hearing Clinic tested my elderly relative’s hearing in the comfort of his own room. I booked an appointment for my daughter and she was seen at their clinic in Delbrook plaza. There is a family history of hearing loss and as I am currently using hearing aids we wanted to make sure that her hearing was normal. She was seen by Holy Desta who did a full assessment and reassured my daughter that her results were normal. The appointment was provided in a timely manner and plans were made for regular follow up. I would happily recommend this clinic in future.

We brought our friend to this clinic whose hearing had gotten incredibly bad because of wax buildup. We booked a 30min appointment for ear wax removal. During the appointment however, the technician discovered that his buildup was incredibly severe and she extended the appointment just so she could get as much done as possible – moving her lunch hour back to accommodate us and gave him a full hour. It was incredibly kind of her and she did a great job!

Everyone is friendly, caring, and trying their best. My visits for the past year have been positive. My hearing was tweaked today for more balanced hearing as my hearing had changed. I would not hesitate to recommend the whole staff to you.

Update!! Recently I contacted Jennifer to assist me in finding hearing options for an out of town elderly gentleman who just had a stroke. Jennifers compassion and assistance to help was so heartwarming. She was able to recommend a solution that will be useful until my friend is able to get his hearing tested. I was travelling and visiting in the North Vacouver area, with recently aquired hearing aids. The ear piece fitting (power dome) in the left ear was not staying in place. I called Hear at Home to see if they could help me out and Maia, in their shop, got me in right away, and outfitted me with a much more comfortable well fitting ear piece. They provided quick, pleasant and professional service. I would highly recommend Hear at Home to anyone needing hearing aids.

Hear at Home provided my mum with her third pair of hearing aids. The first two attempts were more than disappointing and the result was that they weren’t worn. So let’s just say “third time lucky “🍀! Hear at Home provided excellent service before, during and after which is so refreshing! Jennifer is very knowledgeable (sharing helpful info above and beyond hearing aid technicalities) and professional and gives clear, concise instructions and feedback. A service like this is more than appreciated for those whom are not mobile and for the family caregiver. Hear at Home’s mobile hearing clinic is a wonderful service for seniors and anyone with mobility challenges. The first in-home visit included a thorough exam with the latest technology and a clear explanation. When an earwax issue needed a follow up visit, Jennifer personally returned with a specialized device from the clinic to resolve the issue. Following the visit, my hearing was substantially improved. The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable, and really go the extra mile to provide care. I highly recommend them.

Great place. Very professional. My ears were very badly plugged and they spent the extra time needed to make my ears totally clean. Equipment is excellent and staff were friendly and well trained.

We are looking forward to having Jennifer return to do the hearing test on our elderly Mother. The assessment wasn’t rushed and advice to prepare the condition of Mom’s ears prior to doing a hearing test is much appreciated. We are confident that any further advice going forward will be in the best interest of Mom’s needs. Hearing at home, was referred to me by a friend who has been coming to see them for quite some time. I have mild hearing loss, but I was having a really hard time hearing in crowds. From the first in-home visit to my current hearing aids, the service has been exceptional. The people I’ve dealt with have been warm, caring and committed to helping me. Even just the unannounced phone calls to see how everything‘s going. It’s been a process, but I finally found a pair of hearing aids that I literally don’t even know I’m wearing and has greatly improved my ability to hear in large crowds. The technology of my product is stunning. The sound quality is so incredibly natural it’s like having a new set of ears. I can’t say enough good things about these folks and I will recommend them to everyone I encounter that needs help with their hearing.

My sister lost her hearing aid charger at the beginning of a long trip to Fiji, NZ and Australia. There was not enough time to order or purchase one for her to use but Hear at Home lent her one to use on her trip. The crisis was averted thanks to the kindness of the staff at Hear at Home. I have been dealing with Jennifer and her team for approximately 4 or 5 years now. We got a hearing aid for my mom. My mom has had a few issues with the unit but mostly because she’s a bit klutzy with it and manages to break things. Anyway Jennifer has managed to come up with ways to either fix it under warranty or outright replace something with a spare part they have with no charge. The last time it happened I figured we would be into buying a new unit as I believe the warranty has expired now but she was able to come up with a spare part (replaced the charger because my mom broke the connection). She did this at no cost because she happened to have a spare one in her office. This is well beyond good customer service and I would not expect any business to meet this threshold. I know her and her staff work hard at customer service and appreciate working with them. This is actually the first time I have written a review for anything but felt it was worth to show my appreciation. Especially for this last time since I was out of the country and had to email Jennifer the problem and she was able to take care of it and look after my mom and get the part replaced and didn’t charge me either for the part nor her time. Again I don’t expect any business to do that and would not expect this in the future but that’s what happened. I would fully recommend her for anyone looking for hearing aid services.

I am very happy with my decision to visit this clinic to support local small bunisesses, and obviously because of proximity to my home. I had impacted ear wax from using ear plugs and riding motorcycles with ear plugs. I have a very minor case of tinnitus that I have habituated to but when it comes to ear cleaning I’ve never had a good experience at the GP or walk in clinic. After having my ear wax impacted I found hear at home and booked an appointment. Hear at home uses a curette method which is manual removal and also uses irrigation. This was the most gentle, understanding and positive experience I’ve ever had. I want to say a huge thank you to Holy Desta for being so patient and kind with me. Extremely professional and I would highly recommend her and Hear At Home. Once again, thank you for the professional and kind service, I will be coming back in the new year to have my ears looked at again. Thank you
