Jennifer Abbott

Founder & Mobile Hearing Practitioner

Jennifer founded Hear at Home Mobile Hearing Clinic with one goal—to make hearing care more accessible, personal, and compassionate, especially for older adults who can’t easily get to a clinic. As a Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner and Certified Dementia Practitioner, she brings a deeply human approach to every visit, whether it’s in a private home, retirement residence, or long-term care facility.

With over 25 years of experience in health, aviation, and insurance, Jennifer understands the value of listening—not just to sounds, but to people. Her time with Emirates Airlines gave her the unique opportunity to work with people from over 100 cultures, shaping her commitment to respectful, individualized care.

After graduating with distinction from Grant MacEwan University in 2008, Jennifer recognized the major gap in access to hearing care. So she built something different—British Columbia’s first 100% mobile hearing clinic. Today, she leads her team in delivering professional in-home hearing tests, hearing aid fittings, and ongoing hearing care services across the North Shore, Vancouver, and Lower Mainland.

Whether she’s helping someone reconnect with loved ones over dinner or guiding families through the hearing aid process, Jennifer’s focus is always on improving quality of life. She specializes in hearing aids for seniors, and hearing aids for those who need hearing care at home and offers compassionate support for those living with dementia or cognitive decline.

Her clients trust her for personalized service, clear communication, and expert guidance. And they appreciate that Hear at Home makes things simple—no clinic visits, no long waits, just trusted hearing care at your doorstep.

Jennifer has been recognized with several community awards, including Best of the North Shore and Readers’ Choice Awards, but what she’s most proud of is the culture she’s built—supportive, energetic, and always client-first. (She still talks about the seniors flash mob she helped organize in 2015!)
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, exploring local North Vancouver businesses, and spending time with her daughter and close friends.
