Introducing Cognivue at Hear at Home

When people think about hearing care, they often focus on hearing aids. But hearing health is about much more than devices. It’s closely connected to how we think, communicate, and stay engaged with the world around us.

That’s why at Hear at Home, we’ve introduced Cognivue, a cognitive health screening we now offer alongside our hearing services.

The connection between hearing and cognitive health

Research continues to show a strong relationship between hearing health and cognitive health. When hearing becomes more difficult, it can affect communication, social interaction, and mental engagement.

For families and caregivers, it can be challenging to understand what’s contributing to changes they may be noticing. Having more information can help guide next steps.

What is Cognivue?

Cognivue is a quick, computer-based cognitive screening that helps assess how the brain is functioning. It’s non-invasive, easy to complete, and provides immediate results.

The screening looks at areas such as memory, attention, and executive function through simple visual tasks. There’s no preparation required, and the process takes about 10 minutes.

Why this screening can be helpful

Cognivue doesn’t provide a diagnosis, but it can offer valuable insight and peace of mind. Results can help support early awareness, guide conversations with healthcare providers, and create a more complete picture alongside hearing care.

With consent, results can also be shared with a family doctor as part of an ongoing care plan.

A more holistic approach to care

At Hear at Home, our goal is to support long-term quality of life. By offering cognitive screening alongside hearing services, we’re able to look at the bigger picture and provide more thoughtful, personalized support.
