About Hearing Aids
The hearing aids of today are sleek, sophisticated pieces of equipment scientifically engineered to delivered the best hearing experience possible. Chances are you can hear the voices that are directly in front of you when in quiet situations, but have trouble hearing when the noise level increases, like when you are in a restaurant with family and friends. The most advanced modern digital hearing aids are designed to constantly analyze the sounds of the various environments and automatically select the appropriate programming mode for specific situations.
Trial Period Check-up
All hearing aids are provided with a 30 day trial period. Extensions are available if necessary. At your follow-up appointment we make any necessary modifications and ensure your satisfaction. We encourage annual checkups to review your hearing level and check that your aids are working appropriately.
Behind The Ear (BTE)
BTE hearing solutions fit behind your ear; they vary significantly in size depending on their power performance. The sound tube, which connects the instrument to the earpiece, can be either a standard or a thin tube.
Completely In The Canal (CIC) & In The Canal (ITC)
As the smallest, available hearing systems, completely-in-the-canal (CIC) instruments are virtually invisible. However, people with a severe hearing loss or with a very narrow ear canal may not be able to use them. Instead, they may opt for in-the-canal (ITC), or for in-the-ear (ITE) instruments. ITCs and ITEs are a bit larger yet easier to handle than CICs, because program and volume change can be adjusted manually.
Receiver In The Ear (RITE)
RITE solutions combine the benefits of both BTE and CIC instruments, thus perfecting sound quality and design. Bernafon’s RITE solutions are virtually invisible as the speaker unit is hidden inside the ear canal.
